-What they respond to (questions, comments - go with it)
-Make the mission statement
-Pick your audience, pick your competitors
-That’s how you find your nicheNiche:
-Something YOU are passionate about (it’s not a $ excercise, if you are passionate about a topic, it shows in the posts - and that’s what attractes readers)

Frequency:

-Think about the demographics - how much time they have for reading (soccer moms do not have that much free time, for instance, if you are blogging for them)

Comments:

-Pay attention to Comments (always respond to comments!)
-Write to provoque a comment - ask a question…
-Write about what you are doing in your real life - people respond to that
-Be very personal - that will give response
-Take it from your comments - follow the response, you can always redirect your content towards the stuff people actually WANT to read at your blog
-Take posts without comments - try to figure out what’s wrong with it

Other Tips:

-You can totally experiment (try different stuff, try adding more humour, more pics, audio etc. - see if you get a better response)
-Everyone loves a good tangent
-Spelling, grammar, editing count (still important for many readers)
-Invite Guest bloggers
-Use rants/unpopular opinions (will give a lot of response)
-Do Interviews
